SAP IST -RM/CA -Telecommunications -Brief Overview

1. Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable (Receivables Management – Contract Accounting, SAP IS-T/RM-CA):
Accounts receivable software that is designed especially for mass processing, as is required for telecommunications companies with a large numbers of customers and documents. To use this functionality, you must install the Contract Accounting FI-CA component, which can be used instead of the standard SAP R/3 component FI – Accounts Receivable. The FI-CA module is fully integrated with the FI – G/L Accounting component.
The following tools are available in contract accounts receivable and payable to transfer data from external systems:
· Programs for Automatic Data Transfer
· BAPIs
· IDoc Interfaces

2. IS-T Telecommunication Services in RM-CA: This type of data is required to assign document items to a telecommunications service object in Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable (RM-CA). A telecommunications service object can be a telephone number (single-line connection), a group of telephone numbers (multi-line connection) or an IP address (Internet connection).
Distribution of telecommunications service objects in RM-CA is required to create a disconnection or reconnection (if open items are cleared) proposal for telecommunications services from RM-CA.

3. Master Data:
The Business Partner and the contract account are available as Telecommunications RM-CA - Master Data in the system for the SAP Telecommunications/RM-CA component.
